Cisco in Second Life to stay
By Eric Reuters
“We’re definitely committed to Second Life,” Cisco’s Jeanette Gibson told Reuters at the Virtual Worlds Conference in New York. “Second Life is here to stay, and so are we.”
Gibson said her company’s considered its “Network Academy Group,” where people could train on Cisco’s products in Second Life, a success and over 1000 Cisco employees were active in the virtual world. She told Reuters that CEO John Chambers would make an appearance in-world on June 24 at Cisco’s sims. The event will be open to the public, and Chambers will do a Q&A with Second Life avatars.
