Interviews with Raph Koster and Jerry Paffendorf at SXSW
By Adam Reuters
First Davos, now Austin — I’m going to be doing two exciting Second Life interviews with Raph Koster and Jerry Paffendorf on Sunday, March 11, from the South by Southwest Interactive festival.
Raph is a huge name in the MMO developer community and he has everyone eagerly awaiting more details about his Areae start-up. Is it a Second Life killer, or something entirely new? Come to the Reuters auditorium in Second Life on Sunday at 2 pm CST (3 pm EST, noon Pacific) to find out. He will be taking questions from the audience. If you’d like to send me questions in advance, IM Adam Reuters in-world or email adamreuters@gmail.com.
Jerry (aka SNOOPYbrown Zamboni) is Electric Sheep’s “resident futurist,” where he gets paid to think big thoughts about Life, the Metaverse and Everything. I’ll talk to him on Sunday at 12 pm CST (1 pm EST, 10 am Pacific) about Sony’s newly announced PS3 virtual world and where Second Life is heading. Again, send questions to me if you’ve got ‘em.
Jerry and his merry band of Sheep will also be streaming many of the Stream Burn sessions live on Saturday and Sunday, and the video will be available at the Reuters Auditorium. You can find a schedule of sessions here.
