Business cards for your avatar

I’ve been a big fan of Moo, a printing company that makes diminutive business cards drawn from Flickr images, for a few months now. The cards I created with a picture of Adam Reuters on the front and my Second Life contact details on the back were a hot ticket when I did interviews or events like Davos — I even made some refrigerator magnets.
I had gone through a few hundred already and was in dire need a re-up, when Moo founder and CEO Richard Moross got in touch recently to announce that the company is now creating cards specifically for Second Life users. Moo also makes cards based on Bebo and Habbo Hotel profiles.
The process for Second Life residents is mostly the same as using Flickr images, except you email a photo postcard directly from Second Life to Moo. On its Web site, you then crop the image (or up to 100 different ones), add your contact details, and then wait patiently by your mailbox for the shipment to arrive. The cards are about half as wide as standard business cards, and the text side has a “Second Life resident” logo.
A box of 100 costs $19.99 / €14.99 / £9.99 — no Linden dollar payments I’m afraid.
