Second Life Kool-Aid: To drink, or not to drink?

During an interview on Friday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Linden Lab Chairman Mitch Kapor had some stark advice about how to deal with the inevitable Second Life backlash:

“Don’t drink your own Kool-Aid.”

Nine time zones away at the SF Beta event, Linden Lab was sending a different message. Myles Weissleder picked up this up at the party and posted it on his Mylermedia blog

“Drinking the Kool-Aid” is a reference to the mass suicides in Jonestown. By the way, the followers of Jim Jones drank poisoned Flavor Aid, not Kool-Aid.
